What happens after I sign the contract?

Onboarding officially begins 🎉

• 🧙 We’ll start creating a one-of-a-kind onboarding experience, tailored just for you.
• 💻 We source your computer. We will provide you with a Macbook, we can either send it to your home if you start remotely or have it waiting for you when you come for your in-person onboarding 🎉

How do I book the in-person part of onboarding?

We invite all new uizards to join us for in-person onboarding—we cover the flight and lodging. 3-4 weeks before your first day (unless you start sooner), we’ll reach out to get your travel booked.

• ✈️ Your Flight. We'll send you an invite to book your flight through Travelperk.
• 🏨 Your hotel. We have a local partner we work with and we’ll book your hotel and send you the confirmation after you’ve booked your flight.

When do I get access to my Uizard accounts?

If starting remotely we’ll send you an invite to your Uizard Google account on your first day, and allow the first hour of the day for you to log in and set up your accounts.

If you join us in Copenhagen for your first day, you’ll get access to your Uizard Google account after breakfast 🥐

All of your other tool invites will be waiting for you in your Uizard inbox 📨

What happens if I don’t get my computer before or by my first day?

🤞 you do, but if you don’t, we’ll see if you have a computer you can use in the meantime. If not, we can find a solution together.

What’s the first month like?

You’ll likely be in Copenhagen your first week. With that said, sometimes we’ll invite you to join us on another date. This could be to do with a seasonal holiday, other new starters joining at a similar time, or we want to have you come in for a Uizard onsite!

Your first month is all about getting to know Uizard so you can start taking more ownership in your second month. It consists of:

• Going through your Onboarding Grimoire- the onboarding guide. It includes daily quests for the first two weeks, so you’ll feel more confident about navigating the teams, tools, and practices that make up Uizard as a workplace.
• Having your team trainings and completing tasks; including getting to know the team, of course! 👏
• Co-creating 30/60/90 day goals with your manager. By creating these goals in collaboration it helps us be on the same page in terms of expectations, which leads to success 😎

What happens during in-person onboarding in Copenhagen?

You’ll have a few basic onboarding sessions:

🥐 Welcome Breakfast with Team 🔑 Security with Infrastructure 🦄 Uizard History & Culture 💬 Intros with Uizards you’ll be closely collaborating with 🧩 You’ll try out our product and build your own creation!

It’s also a time to get to know uizards in different teams and start building relationships, eat good food (we love food at Uizard 😋), and start/continue team training sessions.
