TL;DR: Humans are wired for connection, and it’s something we care about deeply at Uizard.

<aside> 💬 A sense of isolation is one of the biggest challenges for remote teams. We proactively strive to create connection, while recognizing that connection looks different to everyone.

🎉 In-person time, like in-person onboarding, on sites in Copenhagen, and the year trip

In-person time, in Copenhagen and beyond

We believe that in-person time is critical to building a remote-first team. Every 3-4 months, we invite all uizards to spend a week in the Copenhagen hub. We work from the office together during the day and in the afternoons or evenings spend time having fun, from pétanque to bowling and shared team meals.

We hold annual trips, called Year Trips, where the team flies into one location for a week to work together, brainstorm, and deepen connections. So far we’ve been to Greece, Portugal, and Italy (April 2024).
